Celebrate the High Holidays in your new Jewish home!
Celebrate the High Holidays in your new Jewish home!

Are you home for the holidays? With us, you are. Temple Emanuel of Marlborough, 150 Berlin Road, is inviting non-members to join us for the Jewish High Holiday services. We have six events and you are welcome to come to any or all!

To prepare for the High Holidays, we are holding a Slichot Service on Saturday, September 21, at 7:00 pm. Erev Rosh Hashanah service is Sunday, September 29, at 7:00 pm. The Rosh Hashanah first day service is Monday, September 30, from 9:30 am - 1:00 pm. Come hear the shofar blow! Immediately following, we will head to Wood Park, 65 Park St., Hudson, where we will metaphorically cast away our sins from the past year in a Tashlich service along the Assabet River. Please join us and enjoy a complimentary lunch in the park.

The Rosh Hashanah second day service is Tuesday, October 1, from 9:30 am - Noon. Instead of a traditional service, we are holding a Torah study on repentance and forgiveness: “What Does Judaism Require of Us?”.

The first night of Yom Kippur (Kol Nidre) is Tuesday, October 8, at 7:00 p.m. All are welcome to join us for the solemn and beautiful Kol Nidre service, perhaps the most moving of the entire year, as we pray for forgiveness. Yom Kippur day services are Wednesday, October 9, with a morning service from 9:30 a.m. - Noon, a break, and a late afternoon service from 5:00 pm. - 7:00 pm, when we invite you to break the fast with us at our annual potluck Break Fast.

Tickets are not required for non-members. Instead, a suggested $90 donation per adult provides admission to each of our High Holiday services. However, all are welcome and no one will be turned away. For more information, or to reserve a free Tashlich lunch, please email us at info@templeemanuelma.org or message us on Facebook.

About Temple Emanuel

Temple Emanuel has been the only Jewish synagogue in Marlborough for over 75 years. We are an all-inclusive congregation welcoming Jews and non-Jews at all stages of their Jewish journey. Our members come from diverse backgrounds and we encourage them to share what makes themselves unique. We are a small, but vibrant congregation with a strong sense of community. Our services are a mix of both Reform and Conservative, including Hebrew and English. Shabbat services are held two Friday evenings a month and we celebrate all the major Jewish holidays and festivals. Cantor Wendy Seigel leads us with warmth, enthusiasm and her beautiful voice. Everyone is welcome to celebrate the joys of Judaism with us!
