Alvin Eisenman, 92, Founded Yale's Graphic Design Program
Eisenman died Sept. 3 at his Martha's Vineyard home, the Yale Daily News reports. Among his students at Yale was "Doonesbury" cartoonist Garry Trudeau.

A graphic designer and educator who recruited teachers including Walker Evans and students including Garry Trudeau ("Doonesbury") to Yale's graphic design program — the first in the nation — died last week at his Martha's Vineyard home, multiple newspapers are reporting.
Alvin Eisenman was 92 at the time of his death Sept. 3 in the home he designed himself, according to news reports:
