“Gwenn and I are pleased to announce that we have hired Dan Scully to be our new GM. After reviewing numerous applicants for this position, Dan was the candidate that most impressed the entire management team. In the end, all of the managers and I felt that Dan's leadership skills and long-time love for Martha's Vineyard trumped all,” said Mark Snider. Gwenn Snider added, “We consider ourselves fortunate that a leader of Dan’s stature was available to join us. Although he's not from a conventional hospitality background, Dan brings a lot to the table. He is an experienced leader of a successful, high-energy, multi-faceted, high-profile business. He has managed and motivated large teams; he is media and marketing savvy; he is well-connected in the hospitality industry in the region; and he has a keen understanding of the importance of great customer service. He will bring a fresh perspective to our operation that we're all very excited about.”
Dan has vacationed on Martha’s Vineyard nearly every summer since the late ‘80s, so he is quite familiar with the Island’s enchanting appeal. “The Vineyard has always been a magical place for me, so I feel quite privileged and excited just to be living and working there…and then to be working at such a great property like the Winnetu! Nothing else on the island so warmly embodies the best of what The Vineyard has to offer,” said Scully.
