A Rockin' Saturday Night At Dreamland

The Duartes put on their dancing shoes.

David and I put on our dancing shoes and drove to Oak Bluffs Sep. 28, destination  Dreamland Ballroom, where the much-touted Led Zeppelin sound-alikes, Kashmuir rock group, was appearing. First, we went to The Chowder House for a couple drinks before the Dreamland doors opened at nine.  The Chowder House was packed plus a waiting list, but there was one empty stool at the bar so we were able to sidle-up.  Met a new best friend, Ellen, from Edgartown who was waiting to go to Dreamland as well. Finally, we made our way to Dreamland and all the tables were occupied but Robbie Manning graciously set up a table for us. He heads up Security at Dreamland. Thank you, Robbie!!! Party people started pouring in and standing on the humungous dance floor and then the band blasted off into the ionosphere!  There was much whooping and shouting and good-time noises emanating from the 20-30ish attractive crowd that now filled the dance floor like well-behaved sardines.   A real rock concert!  It didn't look like the Off-Season at Dreamland.
