Buddha on the Island

Let me take a minute to introduce myself.

Hello fellow islanders. This is my first time posting here on The Patch, so let me take a minute to me introduce myself.

My name is Heather and I have lived on Martha's Vineyard for just about 3 years now. I moved from a small town in NH for a change of scenery and the chance to live on my own.

And a change of scenery it was! I never knew how lovely being surround by the ocean was going to be! I have all these amazing beaches a stones throw away. Who could ask for anything more amazing? Also, all the great trails and hikes here too, its a nature enthusiasts dream come true. It is a photographers dream come true as well.

This is where the purpose of my blog comes in. I have taken myself on many adventures on the island, much thanks to Walking Trails of Martha's Vineyard for helping me guide my way through the island. I have documented many of my adventures with my trusty camera and I have captured some beautiful things on this island. I want to share all of the beautiful things I have, and will be capturing with you!

So let's get right to it!

Ever since I moved to the island I have been dabbling in Buddhist practices and been doing a lot of research on the religion. I also have an obsession with Buddha statues - I have quite the collection going. And another thing I have an obsession with is quotes. So combining two of my obsessions with my passion (photography), and one of my favorite places in world, the beach, I came up with these photos. Enjoy!
