Good News and Money

Seek and you shall find.

The bike path off of Old County Road is tastefully decorated with appropriate fall elements. Shades of amber and smartly contrasting mint green pine needles lay artfully arranged as the predominate backdrop on the asphalt canvas.

Chunky brown pine cones with perfectly patinated tips, subdued psychedelic leaves, and hints of geometric twig designs, complement the pathscape.  The distant trees, with leaves petrified by Irene’s salty gusts, add muted depth and dimension to the theme.

Adding sheer delight to the scene, a sparkle coming from the knee-high, blond grass border ahead, caught my eye. Money! The sun danced off of a paperclip, which secured a thin wad of cash.

The universe is paying me back the tip I left in my hotel room yesterday.  My anonymous gratuity, for the unseen maid, is being presented back to me on this beautiful walk in the woods, I thought.

That’s what always happens! The more I give, the more I get. It’s a funny thing about the law of nature, and the joys of gratitude and giving.

I slipped the dough in my hoodie pocket, and continued to enjoy the solitude and spirituality of the morning walk. With the pooch all sniffed-out, and a couple of miles later, I deposited the wad in another sun-kissed grassy hedge. I know how much fun it is to find money, and wanted to share the thrill.

It's a good day to take a walk, be inspired by nature and find your wad of dough.
