Sharks Fighting To Stay on Top
A close match-up force the first extra-innings game of the season.

A pair of home runs by Ronnie Rosario (Weatherford College) and Robbie Zinsmeister (Indiana University of PA) were not enough to fend off the Seacoast Mavericks Tuesday evening. The Sharks were in the lead until the top of the 8th inning, when the Mavericks gained 4 runs and took a 6-5 lead. Zinsmeister’s long ball tied it in the bottom of the eighth, forcing the first extra-inning game at Vineyard Baseball Park this season. It was tied 6-6 until the 11th inning, when Brian Maynard (College of St. Rose) scored after a triple by Tommy Chase (Notre Dame). The Sharks have a big double header this afternoon in Torrington and are home Thursday, July 14th against the Brockton Dirtdogs.
