Tasty Tuesday

Just in time for the summer, this delicious tasty brownie would be a great dessert for any occasion. But there are a few secrets to making good brownies.

Have you ever noticed how our minds daydream about food, especially when we are hungry? And usually we are not thinking about vegetables and fruit... But we think about food that makes us feel good like sweets, pizza, chips, burgers and french fries, etc. They make you feel great at the time, but sometimes we have regrets later. But food is to be enjoyed in moderation. Now moderation is the key! We need to treat ourselves sometimes. Life is too short not to have a few indulgences. I'm all for that!

Today I have a sweet treat that's been around for generations. I grew up eating brownies, and for the last few days that's all I've been thinking about. So this week's Tasty Tuesday is my favorite recipe for chewy brownies, they are delicious and easy.

Brownies are so versatile. You can eat them  warm or cold, or you could go crazy by making a brownie sundae with the works; ice cream, hot chocolate sauce, and whipped cream. When I was growing up in Winthrop, there was a bakery in my town that sold frosted brownies. That's another way to serve brownies.

The secret to a delicious brownie is not to over mix the batter, remember it's not a cake. And even more important, don't over bake them.
