I'll be attending the Boston International Seafood Show on Monday, tomorrow, covering it for Aquaculture North America and Hatchery International.

I've got two one-on-one interviews with CEO's of fish farms growing Cobia and Salmon. I look forward to asking questions about sustainable practices, technology, and alternative feed usage.

The international seafood show features hundreds of seafood producer from around the world. Both fish farms grow their marine animals in waters off of Panama and Patagonia, Chile.

Cobia open ocean fish farm Open Blue is an American aquaculture business that grows fish in Panama is owned and operated by Brian O'hanlon. I meet him at 2 pm.

Before that, I get to catch up with Scott Nichols of Verlasso fish farms located in Patagonia. The sustainability certified farm grows Salmon. 

Both these fish farming ventures grow adult fish in cages offshore, a controversial practice used in Europe, South America, and Asia, but not in the U.S. as slow policy implementation has stymied the domestic offshore aquaculture industry.
