Cape Cod Fugitive With 55 Charges Turns Himself In

Police said Cajun Burdick, of Yarmouth, was recently arrested after shaking off tasers and strangling an officer.

YARMOUTH, MA — A Cape Cod man with 55 criminal charges who was wanted by police turned himself in, police said Thursday. Cajun Burdick, 33, of Yarmouth, was out on bond in connection with his arrest in December when police said shook off tasers and strangled an officer. He was featured as as the Yarmouth Police Department's "Wanted Wednesday" fugitive this week.

"Burdick turned himself in to the Court Wednesday afternoon when he realized he was featured on YPD's Wanted Wednesday," Yarmouth police said in a statement.

The court then cleared his warrant and he was released again, police said. He is due back in court March 27.
