Child Rape Charges Against Martha's Vineyard Man Upheld
Carlos Stevenson, of Tisbury, had his child rape indictment dismissed, but the Massachusetts Supreme Court recently reversed the decision.

MARTHA'S VINEYARD, MA — A Martha's Vineyard man will again face child rape charges after the Massachusetts Supreme Court ruled on the case.
Carlos Stevenson, 50, of Tisbury, was indicted in 2014 on child rape charges, which were subsequently dismissed by a Dukes County Superior Court judge.
The Supreme Court, however, reversed the judge's decision, Cape & Islands District Attorney Michael O'Keefe announced Wednesday.

O'Keefe said Judge Cornelius Moriarty's dismissal decision was "seriously flawed."
