MARTHA'S VINEYARD, MA — The Coast Guard medevaced a man from Martha's Vineyard early Friday morning.
The 24-year-old man was suffering from possible internal bleeding at Martha's Vineyard Hospital; he was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital, according to Coast Guard Lt. Bryce Van Cleef.
“A lot of people worked hard to get the patient the care he needed,” Cleef said in a statement. “Coordinating with multiple EMS services, hospitals, and airports can be tough, but in this instance everything went smoothly.”
