Edgartown Enacts Public Face Mask Order For Downtown
Masks are required for many areas where summer crowds make social distancing difficult to maintain.
MARTHA'S VINEYARD, MA — An emergency face mask order requires residents and visitors to Martha's Vineyard in several downtown areas where summer crowds made it difficult to maintain social distancing.
The order which the Board of Health established last week, is in effect from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in all areas covered under the Edgartown COVID-19 Required Face Covering and Mask Area.
The order applies to all those 2 year old or older and has an exception for those who are unable to wear a mask due to a medical condition. It includes both indoor and outdoor areas.
