The American Cancer Society eleventh annual Compass of Hope Gala will be held Saturday, September 8 at the Oyster Harbors Club in Osterville. The optional black tie event will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will honor David Norlach of Yarmouthport, a longtime volunteer with the Society, and Cape Cod Healthcare for their efforts supporting the fight to end cancer. The evening will feature auctions, dining, and dancing, with live entertainment provided by Stage Door Canteen, a 10-piece swing band that plays classic hits of the Big Band era, as well as Motown, Van Morrison, the Beatles and much more. Proceeds from the event help the American Cancer Society save lives and create a world with less cancer and more birthdays, by helping people stay well, get well, find cures, and fight back.
