The Martha's Vineyard Art Association and Old Sculpin Gallery host an array of children's art classes throughout the summer season. These lessons are geared for children ages 7-12 and cover all kinds of fun and exciting mediums.
Our Schedule for August is as follows:
August 2-Foam block printing
August 3-Bookmaking-make a 3 signature book to use as a sketchbook/journal
August 6-David Hockney inspired landscape paintings
August 7-Wayne Thiebaud inspired cakes and other desserts done in oil pastels on canvas paper
August 8-Frida Kahlo inspired self-portraits
August 9-Kandinsky inspired abstract paintings
August 10-Lichtenstein inspired sunset paintings
August 13-Cezanne inspired land/seascapes
August 14-Undersea themed painting using inside of large shells as painting surface
August 15-Clay coil pots
August 16-En plein air paintings on driftwood
August 17-Artist's tradint cards

Classes run Monday-Friday, from 9:30am to 11:00am, cost is $20 per child, per class. Please sign up in advance.
