Each weeklong choreographic workshop will challenge the children through fun, active dance classes building skill and technique, nurture the child’s choreographic voice and individual artistic expression through composition studies, and develop each child’s artistry and connections to professional dancers in residency at the Yard, and to the community of Martha’s Vineyard.
Directed by dance educator and choreographer Deborah Damast and assisted by graduate students from the NYU Steinhardt Dance Education Program, the children will develop their own choreography and enjoy creating original work. Weeklong classes culminate in an exciting family share day on Fridays where siblings, friends, and parents get to join in the fun! Sign up for all 4 weeks!
