VINEYARD STREETBALL CLASSIC 3 ON 3 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

The Ninth Annual Vineyard Streetball Classic, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, is slated for Saturday, July 2, 2011, at Niantic Park in Oak Bluffs, Martha’s Vineyard. Opening rounds begin at 10 a.m. 

The staff of the Vineyard Streetball Classic tournament will be at Niantic Park July 1^st from 10am-12noon for preregistration.

Students from ages 10 to 18 come sign up to play in an exciting 3 on 3 Double Elimination basketball tournament. The top teams in each division (10-12), (13-14), & (15-18) receiving trophies at the end of the day. All players will be rewarded for their efforts with a Vineyard Streetball Classic tee shirt, lunch and drinks. All participants of the tournaments events will receive a t-shirt and could win a trophy.  We will have many give-aways and coupons drawn throughout the day. Don’t miss the half-court and free throw competitions it was amazing last year.

 The mission and purpose of the Vineyard Streetball Classic is to improve Niantic Park’s basketball court, and promote exercise. We are calling on businesses and families to come support the tournament. We have two ways for the local businesses to support the tournament. We need vendors and sponsors. We have many sponsor opportunities and limited vendor space, so sign up soon.  The proceeds from the tournament benefit the renovation of the basketball court at Niantic Park.

Proceeds from the Vineyard Streetball Classic will go to the rebuilding the basketball court.  We have teamed up with the Oak Bluffs Park & Recreation non-profit organization on the island to help raise the money needed to rebuild the court. So come bring the family and have a day of fun for a good cause at Niantic Park.
