Festive Weekend Planned in Edgartown
The inaugural Martha's Vineyard Wine Festival, the returning Pink & Green Weekend and perennial favorite Mother's Day are all coming up. Here are some tips to help you plan a fun-filled weekend in Edgartown.

Edgartown merchants aren't waiting for Memorial Day weekend to roll around, instead kick-starting the 2013 season with a pair of festivals starting Thursday and Friday:
The inaugural Martha's Vineyard Wine Festival begins with a "Rosé Reception" Thursday afternoon and continues through Sunday with events ranging from intimate dinners to a "Grand Tasting" Saturday. Find the schedule and ticket information at winefestmv.com.
The second annual Pink & Green Weekend starts Friday. Here's a rundown posted on Patch by Sydney Mullen of the Edgartown Board of Trade:

- The weekend-long festival will begin on Friday, May 10 with Donaroma’s May Faire in the greenhouse from 4pm -6.
- A weekend-long Pink & Green drink contest will have participants visiting the bars, restaurants and coffee shops in town, all of whom are vying for the best Pink & Green beverage.
- Start your Saturday shopping at Tracker Home Décor on Pease’s Point Way. They’ll be serving Pink Lemonade with Limes from 11am-5.
- Head down to Fresh Produce for their opening weekend extravaganza: sales, snacks and shopping.
- Edgartown Meat and Fish will host a Spring Rosé tasting on Saturday from 12pm-2.
- Sea Spa Salon aestheticians will offer free skin analysis and mini peel from 10am-12:30.
- Backwater will have special gifts for Mom all weekend long.
- Put on your dancing shoes for Saturday night’s Pink and Green Ball. This fun cocktail party is hosted at the Field Club in Katama and features music by the Sultans of Swing and food by The Kitchen Porch. Tickets are $75 and are available at The Christina Gallery, In the Pink and online at www.edgartownboardoftrade.com.
