The Wharf returns, the Martha's Vineyard Film Festival opens and we celebrate a fantastic season for MV basketball. Plus: Irish movies and where's the (corned) beef?

  1. The Wharf in Edgartown reopens at 11:30 this morning, cleaned and fresh after its late-winter break.
  2. Celebrate MV boys basketball tonight from 5 to 6 p.m. at Dreamland in Oak Bluffs. MV Sports on Facebook posts, "Come congratulate 2-time Boston Globe Coach of the Year, Michael Joyce and his team and coaching staff!!! Pictures, music, friends, and an up-lifting atmosphere for our student-athletes... LET'S PACK DREAMLAND like we packed the buses!! No money, no business... JUST SUPPORT and SMILES!!! Please BE THERE!!!!"
  3. The 13th annual Martha's Vineyard Film Festival opens tonight in Chilmark with a 5:30 p.m. reception and films beginning at 7 p.m. Click here for the complete schedule.
