Monster Shark Tourney Organizer, 53, Dies While Duckhunting

Steve James, who ran the Monster Shark Tournament on Martha's Vineyard for the past 15 years, was one of two duckhunters who died after their skiff capsized Tuesday in the Westport River, the Associated Press reports.

James ran the controversial Monster Shark Fishing Tournament in Oak Bluffs for the past 15 years, but had spoken in 2013 of taking it to Newport after Oak Bluffs voters approved a non-binding referendum requiring it to be a catch-and-release event.
