More Island Eateries Reopening for 2013
The Martha's Vineyard dining scene continues to expand as the weather warms. The next few days will see the reopening of Chesca's Restaurant and Among the Flowers Cafe in Edgartown and Back Door Donuts in Oak Bluffs.
Italian dining returns to Edgartown Thursday evening with the reopening of Chesca's Restaurant at 38 North Water St. in Edgartown.
The longtime restaurant at the former Colonial Inn, now the Vineyard Square Hotel and residences, opens its doors at 5:30 p.m. April 11 for dinners Thursday through Sunday. Call 508-627-1234 for reservations if your party numbers six or more.
Beginning June 13, the restaurant will be open nightly.

Also in downtown Edgartown, Among the Flowers Cafe at 21 Mayhew Lane is reopening Saturday, according to a Facebook status update posted Wednesday morning. The indoor-outdoor eatery serves breakfast and lunch and adds dinners in July and August. 508-627-3233.
In Oak Bluffs, fresh doughnuts and other bakery treats return Thursday morning at 7 at the Martha's Vineyard Gourmet Bakery and Cafe at 5 Post Office Square. The bakery's "Back Door Donuts" service returns Friday night, accordng to a Facebook update:

"Back Door Donuts opens Friday evening at 7:30 pm. However, we will have donuts and apple fritters, muffins, croissants, etc at the Front Door tomorrow at 7am! The Back Door will be open every night 4/12-4/20 for school vacation - then we go to Th, Fri, Sat only for a few weeks."
