Racial Justice March Planned For Island On Friday

A racial justice march is planned for Juneteenth - Friday afternoon - through parts of Tisbury and Oak Bluffs.

TISBURY, MA — A Racial Justice March For Equality is scheduled to include parts of Tisbury and Oak Bluffs on Friday.

The Juneteenth march is scheduled from 1 to 5 p.m. Those traveling on the island may experience traffic disruption. Speakers are expected to begin about 3:30 and shared their views with the public until about 5.

The attendees are scheduled to meet at Veterans Park in Tisbury at 1 p.m. with the march to begin about 1:30. The route is set to proceed Ocean Park in Oak Bluffs via 5 Corners, Beach Road and over the drawbridge.
