RISE Vineyard Performing Arts Annual Holiday Show, Season's Greetings III

The students of RISE Vineyard Performing Arts are gearing up to present their third annual holiday show.

What: Third Annual holiday show, 'Season's Greeting III'

Where: Oak Bluffs School Auditorium

When: Sunday, December 16 - 2:00 pm, Matinee Show (doors at 1:30 pm); 6:00 pm Evening Performance (doors at 5:30 pm). Seating is general admission and any tickets not pre-sold will be offered at the door.

Why: In the spirit of the season, performance proceeds benefit the RISE Access Program, providing scholarship aid to selected students who might not otherwise have the opportunity to dance due to financial difficulty.

RISE faculty, along with their dancers, ages 3-16, have been preparing festive numbers commemorating this most ‘wonderful time of the year’ in the subjects of ballet, tap, contemporary, jazz, acrobatics, hip hop and creative movement.  

Season’s Greetings III includes a wide variety of musical selections.  Holiday classics and modern renditions of traditional favorites include, The Drifter’s White Christmas, Bruce Springsteen’s Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Gene Autry’s Rudolf The Red Nose Reindeer, and Jimmy Buffet’s Mele Kalikimaka. The diverse program offers something for every musical taste in the family whether it’s Barenaked Ladies, Sarah McLachlan’s God Rest Ye Merry Men or Vince Guaraldi’s Christmas Time is Here, the performance promises holiday inspiration for all. The Holiday Show is a fabulous activity for the whole family!

Tickets, $15 for adults and $10 for children ages 10 and under are available now at RISE Vineyard Performing Arts at the Woodland Business Center in Vineyard Haven.
