Tisberry's New FroYo Creation Needs a Name

Yes, "Yum" is one way to describe Tisberry's new treat. But this frozen yogurt cone, created on Martha's Vineyard in the tradition of the Drumstick or Nutty Buddy, really needs a name of its own before the shop reopens Nov. 23 for Thanksgiving week.

When Tisberry reopens its Vineyard Haven shop for the Thanksgiving holiday next week, it will have a new treat on the menu.

"We'll be introducing our incredibly tasty froyo version of the classic Nutty Buddy aka Drumstick this coming Thanksgiving week. But what should we call it?" reads a recent post on Tisberry's Facebook page that, as of Monday morning, had received some half a dozen responses including:

(Tisberry: "It's a toughy. But it can't have meat or tofu as part of it - lol. Perhaps work a "yo" in?"

  • "YOfurkey!"
  • "Yumsticks"
  • "Yo-cone"
  • "Tis-buddy"
  • "Fro-cone"
Now it's your turn: What do you think Tisberry should call its new frozen delight? Tell us in the comments and try it at the Vineyard store between Nov. 23 and Dec. 1 (closed Thanksgiving).

Tisberry is located at 29 Main Street, Unit C2, Vineyard Haven: 508-687-9314. Its Main Street, Falmouth store is closed until spring, 2014.
