TONIGHT: SCARAB Journey Tribute Band at Dreamland

Master supergroup tribute band brings to Martha's Vineyard a memorable and authentic rendition of the famous and well-loved Journey.

Rarely does a tribute band come along with ability to re-create the sounds and vocals of a legendary act.

“SCARAB…The Journey Experience” is that exception.

Sean Volpetti, lead singer of SCARAB, has a unique gift to not only capture the tone and range of the one and only Steve Perry, but is also able to grasp his onstage energy like no other.

The internationally touring tribute band, whose core members were once part of other leading Journey tribute acts around the country, left to start SCARAB in early February 2010.

“We had a vision of what we really wanted to do,” says Brett Parker, the guitar player and co-founder. “That’s why we went with the name, SCARAB. It’s the essence of Journey.”

Members have changed, time has gone by, but the scarab logo has remained.

Performing timeless music that connect with all generations, SCARAB takes great pride in perfecting their act, constantly getting closer to the real thing. After all, the songs of Journey have a distinct ability to transport people to often very unforgettable times and places.

'SCARAB...The Journey Experience' is the closest reenactment to the supergroup of the 70s and 80s. All of the sights and sounds of Journey’s most legendary songs – in one place.
