The Martha's Vineyard Striped Bass & Bluefish Derby got underway at one minute past midnight Sunday and runs till 10 p.m. Oct. 19.
Here are Monday's leaders, as reported on the Derby website:
- All Tackle Boat Bonito: Patrick T. Jenkinson, 9.34 pounds
- All Tackle Boat Bluefish: Steve J. Baccelli, 12.29 pounds
- All Tackle Shore Bluefish: Cooper A. Gilkes, 13.47 pounds
- All Tackle Boat Striped Bass: Stephen J. Pietruska, 16.88 pounds
- All Tackle Shore Striped Bass: Stephen F. Amaral, 27.15 pounds
- Flyrod Boat Bluefish: Bob W. Hayman, 5.61 pounds
- Flyrod Boat Striped Bass: Everett K. Bramhall, 12.75 pounds
- Flyrod Shore Striped Bass: Justin Pribanic, 15.74 pounds
- Junior All Tackle Boat Bluefish: Mateo Darack, 6.36 pounds
- Junior All Tackle Shore Bluefish: Emma A. Toomey, 14.18 pounds.
