Oak Bluffs Waterfront Favorite Reopens for 2013

Coop de Ville is back for the 2013 season on the Oak Bluffs harbor, with wings, seafood, beverages and good company. Across the way on Circuit Avenue, many other businesses have also reopened.

Oak Bluffs is open for the season: Up and down Circuit Avenue, from the Ritz to Simply Soaps and Vineyard Vines, and across Oak Bluffs Avenue on the harborfront, businesses were bustling Thursday afternoon.

At just-reopened Coop de Ville — which enjoys recommendations from the Food Network, New York Times and other off-Island tastemakers — an all-ages crowd of mostly locals filled the stools and tables of the popular harborfront chicken and seafood shack.

One customer, a young boy eating with his family, had broken his arm earlier in the day and was taken to Coop de Ville after his bone was set, said owner Petey Berndt.
