Whale Stuck In Shallow Water At Cape Cod
The whale was first spotted Thursday morning at Stage Harbor.
CHATHAM, MA – An 18-foot whale is stuck in shallow water at Stage Harbor in Chatham, according to the Associated Press. The whale was first spotted early Thursday morning.
It is believed the minke whale swam under a dock and into the harbor. The animal had scrapes on its body and fin consistent with swimming under docks, AP reported.
Wildlife staff plan to return Friday morning to herd the whale out of the harbor.

One Twitter user said she did not see the animal Friday morning, so it is possible the whale was freed.
Alas, I did not spot the whale at Stage Harbor early this morning, hopefully he made his way out. pic.twitter.com/Zn1xXQ2FeA
