Jasmine Reed has been living on Martha's Vineyard her whole life. She's beenworking at in Vineyard Haven for the past seven years. As the first supermarket you see when you get off the ferry, the Vineyard Haven Stop & Shop is especially busy in the summer.

We caught up with Jasmine in between customers to find out more about working on Martha's Vineyard.

Q. How long have you been working at Stop & Shop?

A. I've been working here seven years. I work in the photo shop now, but I've done basically every job in the store. I work about 48 hours a week.

Q. Where are you from?

A. Oak Bluffs. I wasn't born here, but I've lived here my whole life. My family has been here since before I was born. I have two brothers and a sister who live here as well.

Q. What is your favorite part about living on Martha's Vineyard?

A. A lot of people view the island as a vacation spot, a place to go. We get to live here all year. For a lot of people it's a treat to come here, but for us it's home.

Q. What do you like about working at Stop & Shop?

A. Basically seeing everyone that comes in. You get a variety of people.

Q. What is your dream job?

A. Being a teacher. I want to be an english teacher for K-8 graders.
