Megan Peeler is here for the summer from Worcester, MA and is keeping herself plenty busy bartending at the in Menemsha and cleaning houses. We caught up with her between jobs at the

Q: How long have you been working on the Island?

A.  I've only been at The Beach Plum for a couple of weeks.

Q. Are you in college?

A. I go to Westfield State. I'm graduating next spring.

Q. How did you end up on the Vineyard this summer?

A. Well I had to get a job. I figured, if I'm going to be working 14 hour days, I might as well be on an island. 

Q. How many other jobs do you have?

A. I also do housekeeping 5 days a week. I used to babysit for a family in Aquinnah.

Q. What is your favorite part about your job?

A. My favorite part about the Beach Plum is the food that I get to eat and the people I get to work with.

Q. What is your dream job?

A. At the moment I want to be a social worker. I want to work in a hospital with kids.
