The Medfield Lions Club would like to thank the community for its amazing support of the Lions Toll Road Collection held on May 2nd.
Eight dedicated Medfield Lions Club members, under the direction of Lion Brian Flynn and Lion Ron Gustavson, staffed three collection locations from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Lions were stationed at Blue Moon Bagel Cafe, the Transfer Station, and at the corner of North and Main Streets wearing their yellow Lions vests and collecting donations. The people of Medfield responded in a very generous way.
The Toll Road Collection is an annual Lions event, and 100% of the funds raised go directly to the Massachusetts Lions Eye Research Fund (MLERF).
This year, the Lions raised $2,197.47 — an increase of $454 over last year’s total.
In addition to thanking the community, the Lions would also like to thank the Medfield Police Department for their cooperation and assistance with the street collection event.
We look forward to your continuing support next year!
