Medfield High School Graduation Day, May 31, 2026
MHS Graduation Commencement Exercises were rescheduled from May 30 to Sunday, May 31, at 1:00 p.m. due to high winds, cold temperatures, and rain on Saturday.
The Class of 2026, led by Medfield High School administrators and staff — including Honey, the school's comfort dog — processioned onto the athletic field and took their seats as family members, friends, faculty, and community members gathered to celebrate the graduates' accomplishments.
The delayed ceremony was met with improved weather conditions, allowing the Class of 2026 to enjoy their long-awaited commencement exercises and mark the culmination of their high school careers in front of a supportive crowd.
Commencement Program:
The National Anthem - sung by Ava Morrison.
Welcome - Samuel George, President, Class of 2026
Opening Remarks - Dr. Jeffrey J. Marsden, Superintendent of Schools
Honor Essayist - Cassidy Kolovos
Message to the Class of 2026 - Michelle Kirkby, Medfield School Committee
Senior Speaker - Matthew Dickson
Message from the Principal - Robert Parga
Each graduate was called to the stage and individually recognized, shaking hands with Principal Robert Parga and Superintendent Jeff Marsden as family and friends applauded their achievement.
Due to the weather-related adjustments to the ceremony, diplomas were not presented on the athletic field. Instead, once all members of the Class of 2026 had been recognized, the graduates filed out of the commencement area and returned inside Medfield High School, where they received their diplomas.
With the issuance of diplomas complete, the Medfield High School Class of 2026 officially became graduates, marking the end of their high school journey and the beginning of a new chapter in their lives.
Graduates tossed their caps into the sky with joy and excitement, celebrating the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. The traditional cap toss brought the ceremony to a jubilant close as classmates posed for photographs, and shared the moment with family members, friends, teachers, and staff who had supported them throughout their educational journey.
The commencement ceremony served as a fitting celebration of the accomplishments of the Class of 2026 and a memorable sendoff as the graduates prepare to pursue their individual paths in college, the military, the workforce, and other future endeavors.
