MEDFIELD, MA —As skiers prepare to hit the slopes this winter, the Medfield Parks and Recreation Department is looking for volunteers to help make its ski club a success.
Registration is now open for anyone interested in serving as a chaperone who can commit to at least four of the six weeks.
For sixth graders, the club will meet every Thursday at Nashoba Valley Ski Area in January and during the first two weeks of February.
Seventh- and eighth-grade students will hit the slopes at Wachusett Mountain on Tuesdays in January and during the first two weeks of February.
Chaperones will also have a chance to enjoy some winter fun of their own. Those selected will be able to ski or snowboard for free.
Volunteers will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis, and spots are limited.
Residents interested in volunteering can register online.
