MILLIS, MA — Laxatives handed out as Halloween candy were "accidentally" given to children, police said.
A gifted trick-or-treaters with packages of the laxative MiraFAST on Halloween, according to the Millis Police Department.
"The Millis Police Department has located the home where the MiraFAST packages were distributed," police said in a media release.
"We have determined that the packages were given out accidentally by a resident on May Road," the release said. "One 11-year-old consumed a package. The child's parents are aware and are handling the child's evaluation."
The police department encourages the parents and guardians of children who trick-or-treated around May Road to take a look at their kids' candy.
