Medford Restaurant To Temporarily Close For Renovations

MEDFORD, MA — A staple restaurant will temporarily close next week while it undergoes renovations.

Raso's Grille, located at 209 Mystic Ave., will close beginning Monday, Aug. 10, for what it described as renovations, repairs, and improvements designed to enhance the customer experience. The restaurant also said the temporary closure will allow its staff time off.

"We're working hard to get everything done as quickly as possible and can't wait to welcome everyone back to a refreshed Raso's," the restaurant's leadership said in a statement.

Raso's has been serving Italian-American cuisine in Medford since opening in 2005. The family-owned restaurant offers a menu featuring homemade pasta, seafood, steaks, chicken dishes, pizzas and burgers, along with an extensive selection of martinis, wine and cocktails. In addition to its dining room, Raso's operates a seasonal outdoor patio and provides takeout, catering and private event services. The restaurant regularly features chef's specials and seasonal menu offerings and has built a loyal customer base from Medford and surrounding communities over the past two decades.

Raso's has also become known as a venue for celebrations and private functions, hosting birthdays, rehearsal dinners, business gatherings and other special events. Its catering menu includes Italian favorites, seafood, salads and desserts for both on-site and off-site events.

The restaurant thanked customers for their patience and continued support during the temporary closure and said it looks forward to welcoming diners back once the renovations are complete. It did not announce a reopening date but said it plans to complete the work as quickly as possible.
