Community Care Van Clinic Coming To Medford

Residents in need of a health check-up may be interested in this fast-approaching event.

MEDFORD, MA — Residents looking to access mobile health resources can visit a city-listed Community Care Van clinic Tuesday at Clippership Pop-Up Park.

The clinic is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 25, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the park on 81 Riverside Ave., according to the City of Medford's official events calendar. Mass General Brigham's Community Care Vans generally provide screening and care for hypertension and diabetes, including blood pressure, cholesterol, and A1C testing. The city did not specify which services will be available during Tuesday's Medford stop.

The event is listed through the city's Health and Human Services Department and Community Engagement Team. The team says it helps connect residents to services including MassHealth enrollment, SNAP benefits, rental assistance and other forms of support. The program also includes multilingual community liaisons who speak Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Haitian Creole and Arabic.
