Melrose Early Voting Schedule For Primary Election

MELROSE, MA — Early voting is underway in Melrose ahead of the State Primary Election on Tuesday, Sept. 1.

Residents can cast their ballots at Melrose City Hall, 562 Main St., from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 25, Wednesday, Aug. 26 and Thursday, Aug. 27. The early voting period will conclude on Friday, Aug. 28, with residents able to cast their ballots from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Early voting began on Saturday, Aug. 22, when City Hall was open for voting from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Voting continued on Monday, Aug. 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Saturday, Aug. 22 was also the deadline for voter registration ahead of the State Primary Election. Residents can check their voter registration status through the Massachusetts Secretary of the Commonwealth's website.

Registered voters can also request a mail-in ballot for the election. The deadline to apply for a Vote by Mail ballot is Tuesday, Aug. 25, at 5 p.m. Applications are available through the Massachusetts Secretary of the Commonwealth's website or through the Melrose Elections Office at City Hall.

Residents who choose to vote on Election Day can visit Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School, 90 Melrose St., on Tuesday, Sept. 1, between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. The school will serve as the polling location for all registered Melrose voters during both the State Primary and State Election this year.
