September, Labor Day and the unofficial end of summer.

The weather cooled off and we head out to lunch when two or three of us are free..

On the 9th. we tried the Evvia Trattoria restaurant in Stoneham. Very nice atmosphere, good service and food made to order, so a little delay in getting your dish. We chatted about the past and the future of the Hatters and decided that we would continue to plug along when we can.

Things seem to fill the days for one or more members and it's a bit harder to get the group together more often.

Were seemed to be tied up with Dr. appts. ; grandkids getting back to school and thoughts of 9-11.

Not really a Red Hat function but the Melrose Victorian Fair is always good news.

This year, on the first day of the Jewish New Year the rains came to cleans the earth for a new beginning.

The Fair comes rain or shine and it did, rain and present a fun day for all anyway.

The booths, some empty, but many manned with happy members of various groups in the area. But it is always the people..Always.

It was fun to see how many people, and kids ,came to enjoy this once a year good time in our town. Rain or shine!
