4 New Faces Pull Nomination Papers For Upcoming Milford Election

22 candidates for Milford's upcoming general election have already pulled nomination papers, and four of them are new faces.

MILFORD, MA- Monday was the first day that nomination papers were available for this year's town election in April.

Selectman Michael Walsh is up for re-election and was one of dozens of incumbents to pull nomination papers. Milford's current five constables all pulled nomination papers as well with one new candidate throwing his hat into the ring: Robert P. Sheedy.

Also joining the list of new candidates is Michael Visconti who pulled nomination papers for School Committee, running up against incumbents Joseph Morias and James Ligor.

Two of the first candidates to pull nomination papers for town meeting members are new as well. David Olivera Sanches is a new candidate representing Precinct 4 and Ariel Fernando Lopez is a new candidate representing Precinct 1.

Candidates need 50 or more signatures from any registered voters in Milford for all elected officials positions. First time candidates running for town meeting need 30 or more signatures from registered voters within their own precinct.

The last day to get nomination papers is Feb. 8 and the last day to submit the nomination papers is Feb. 12.
