5 Students Earn Milford Regional Medical Center Scholarships

The scholarships are going to local students who plan to study medicine in some form in college.

MILFORD, MA — Five students hailing from towns in the area earned scholarships from the Milford Regional Medical Center recently. All five students are planning to study medicine in some form in college.

Milford Regional gives out scholarships in two categories. The winners are:

Milford Regional Auxiliary scholarship ($1,000)

  • Adam Briand, Whitinsville, studying biotechnology
  • Thrusha Puttaraju, Hopkinton, plans to become a pediatrician
  • Tyler Vining, Franklin, plans to become an anesthesiologist

Perry Volunteer Scholarship

  • Kayla Martinis, Bellingham, plans to study obstetrics and gynecology
  • Kathleen Mendoza, Milford, will pursue a career as a medical lab tech at Boston University
