Absentee Ballots Now Available: Milford Special Election

Going to be away? Absentee ballots are available.

MILFORD, MA—Absentee ballots are now available in the Milford Town Clerk’s Office for the Sept. 19 Special Town Election. This election does not qualify by the State to have Early Voting.

If you or a family member is going to be unable to vote at their polling location on election day during normal polling hours (8am-8pm) due to:

(1) Absence from Milford during normal polling hours

(2) Physical disability preventing them from going to the polling place; or

(3) Religious belief

it is possible to apply for an absentee ballot and either vote by absentee at the Town Clerk’s Office (Mon-Fri 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.) or the absentee ballot can be mailed.

Please note if an absentee application and/or absentee ballot needs to be mailed that you need to allow at least a week for mailing. The deadline to apply for an absentee is noon on Sept. 18.

Please also note that if you or your family has not answered your annual census, that your voting status may be “inactive” and you and other family members may be required to show a valid photo ID in order to complete an affirmation of continuous residence before being allowed to vote by absentee.
