After Complaint, Milford Regional Medical Center Requests $1.4 Million Variance
The variance application was filed last Friday.

Milford Regional Medical Center is asking the state for a variance on five repairs totaling about $1.4 million dollars.
The hospital says that the costs outweighs the benefits of the five non-compliant items according to the Milford Daily News. The request comes on the heels of a complaint filed with the Massachusetts Architectural Access Board by Commission on Disability Chairman Harold Rhodes.
In his complaint, Rhodes said there are a number of accessibility issues in the parking lots and ramps inside and outside the building. Inside, the ramps are allegedly steeper than allowed by Architectural Access Board regulations.
