Amazon Donates New Helmets To Milford Football Squad

The donation to the Milford Youth Football & Cheer Organization will be used in the 2021 season.

MILFORD, MA — Milford youth football players will have new helmets for the 2021 season thanks to a donation from Amazon.

The Seattle-based company operates two warehouses in Milford. The company's donation will benefit the Milford Youth Football & Cheer Organization, which operates football and cheerleading programs for kids between 6 and 13.

“MYFCO’s number one priority is to ensure all our athletes are participating with the safest, most up-to-date equipment," MYFCO League President Vince Loscerbo said in a news release. "We are truly grateful for Amazon’s partnership and dedication to the health and safety of our young athletes."

Amazon has greatly expanded its presence in Massachusetts over the last decade. Over the last year, the company has moved forward with plans to open several new warehouses in central Massachusetts, including one on the site of the former Greendale Mall in Worcester.
