MILFORD — A months-long, multi-agency investigation led by the Milford Police Department resulted in the arrest of a Hopedale man on drug charges last week, officials said.
Milford police executed a search warrant at a home on Northrop Street in Hopedale on Friday shortly before 8:30 a.m. Police said the operation stemmed from an investigation that spanned several months and involved multiple law enforcement agencies.
Milford police worked alongside the Hopedale Police Department, the Blackstone Valley Drug Task Force, and a federal HIDTA DEA Task Force.
Jerome Johnson, 61, of Hopedale, was charged following the search. He was taken to the Hopedale Police Department and charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance (subsequent offense) and possession of a Class B substance (subsequent offense), police said.
“I’d like to express my gratitude to the Milford Police Detective Bureau and the other involved agencies for their hard work in bringing this case to a conclusion,” Milford Police Chief Robert Tusino said in a statement.
No additional details about the investigation were immediately released.
