MILFORD, MA — Milford Public Schools is marking the end of the school year by recognizing several employees who are retiring from the district.
The school district honored Bob Gilmore, who served 19 years; Suzanne Kowalczyk, 27 years; Maria Pillarella, 13 years; Jill DiAntonio, 4 years; Salome Grendell, 25 years and Heidi Squadrito, 22 years, according to the district.
Together, the retirees represent 110 years of service to Milford students and the school community.
“As we welcome new colleagues to the District, we also want to recognize some of our retirees who will be leaving us after making significant contributions to our students and our school community,” the district said. “Thank you for all you have done over the many years!”
The retirees were pictured with School Committee members Matt Zacchilli and Brendan Rickert and Superintendent Craig Consigli. Rickert is the School Committee’s vice chairperson.
Consigli is Milford’s superintendent and Title IX officer. Consigli began as superintendent in summer 2025 after serving as assistant superintendent.
Gilmore was previously recognized by Patch in 2018 after being named the 2017 Science Educator of the Year for Worcester County by the Massachusetts Association of Science Teachers. At the time, Patch reported Gilmore was a fifth-grade science teacher at Woodland Elementary School.
