MILFORD, MA — Home sales and prices increased in Milford last month even as the number of properties on the market declined.

Milford recorded 18 closed sales in August, up 12.5 percent from August 2025. The median sales price rose 6.8 percent to $607,500 while the number of homes for sale fell 16.7 percent to 20, according to housing data released Tuesday from the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS.

Milford's sales growth outpaced the statewide market. Single-family home sales across Massachusetts fell 0.2 percent year over year in August, according to the MAR.

The statewide median price for a single-family home reached $695,000, an increase of 2.2 percent from August 2025. New single-family listings increased 17.2 percent statewide.

"The continued increase in new listings is encouraging and gives buyers more options," Kristen Keegan, 2026 president of the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS, said in the report. She added that buyers remain engaged and ready to act when homes come on the market at the right price.
