MILFORD, MA — Police are warning residents about an increase in reported thefts from motor vehicles in town.
The Milford Police Department said suspects connected with previous incidents have been identified and charged, but additional thefts continue to be reported.
Police urged residents to lock their vehicle doors and avoid leaving valuables visible or unsecured inside their cars.
Back in August, Milford police released a similar warning following a string of thefts from vehicles. Police warned that there had been an increase in thefts from vehicles and that incidents had occurred mostly overnight.
"We urge everyone to always secure your belongings and lock your vehicles," police wrote in the August announcement. "Thank you for your help in keeping our community safe."
Authorities did not immediately respond to a request for additional details about the number, dates or locations of the reported thefts.
