Assistant Superintendent Offered Milford Superintendent Position

Kevin McIntyre was offered the position on the spot during Thursday night's school committee meeting.

There will not be a search for a new superintendent in Milford and there will not be a request for applications after a fast move by the school committee to replace the departing Robert Tremblay.

Thursday night, the school committee voted to name Assistant Superintendent Kevin McIntyre the new Milford superintendent of schools according to the Milford Daily News. McIntyre will now enter negotiations with the committee for a new contract.

McIntrye has been an assistant superintendent for three years and was the principal of an elementary school in Tewksbury before coming to Milford.
