A Successful First Year For Milford Lusitanos FC

It all started with a simple idea of putting together not only a team, but an organization that could take part and contribute in many different activities. Many may look at Milford Lusitanos FC as just another team, but in reality, it's more than that.

With the help of our sponsors, we have been able to take part in California's largest organized soccer tournament on Memorial Day weekend. We have also volunteered with the local Special Olympics Program as well as the Milford/Hopedale Youth Soccer Program.

These are just two of the many different ways we can help, and with our first year coming to an end, we look to have bigger and better ideas for the future. There is no limit to our goals and we hope that the local community can help us lead a successful organization, while we also look to give back.

We will be looking to host a charity match next spring which will help raise money and awareness for the Special Olympics Program. In the future, we would also like to contribute more to the local soccer program and help with the development of our local youth players.

Being able to represent Milford and give back to the community is one of our biggest goals going forward. Without the community and all those who helped throughout the year, none of this would have been possible.

Earning the respect and belief of most will not be an easy task, but we are willing to do what it takes to make it happen.

As president of the organization, I would like to take the opportunity to thank those who helped make our first year a success and I also hope that we can continue to work together in the future.
