Crosswalks and Sidewalks: Use Them, Please

Who are these people walking down the middle of the street, eschewing sidewalks, and glaring at passing motorists?

And what are they doing walking against traffic? Why risk life and limb? What is the meaning of usurpation of the motorized roadway? Are these the same folks walking out of stores in a strip mall, and immediately walking down the middle of any of the roads on an extremely oblique angle for their car?

Do they have an immediate goal of any kind? Isn't the immediate goal to reach the other side of the road safely and as quickly as possible? Like, what are the crosswalks for? A hint of what should not be done?

It could be these are the same morons that cannot enter/exit doors. But, my guess is that these are three different cognitive dissonances and should be treated by different drugs or lobotomies.
